Thrips tabaci Lind. (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) is a key pest of onions worldwide. It causes both direct and indirect damage to onion crops, resulting in high yield losses. Today, the Integrated System Production Plant Protection requires growers use onion- thrips-resistant cultivars. has become apparent that improvement existing cultivars may not be sufficient, so it necessary search for desirable plant traits related disease resistance among wild For this purpose, we conducted bioassays on possible preference T. three different Allium cepa L., namely, Alibaba, Bila, Tęcza, one cultivar Kroll Welsh onion, fistulosum species roylei Stearn.
